The couple met through a social kickball league in Baltimore, Victoria says. “Nic had recently torn his ACL and was on crutches ‘coaching’ his team. My team was losing horribly, and Nic was talking trash, so naturally I didn’t like him,” she says. But a week later, he texted her asking for a date, so things worked out pretty well.

Victoria’s favorite memories include when the doors opened and she saw Nicholas for the first time that day, as well as their first dance and her dance with her father.

Among the Maryland-specific details were place card created on oyster shells and Nicholas’ crab tie (his groomsmen also wore Maryland-themed socks). “Relax and have fun,” Victoria advises other couples planning weddings. “It all comes together in the end.
