Intimate Woodland Wedding

March 20, 2018

From the planner: "The Inspiration was simple. Quiet, romantic...a couple taking this sweet time for themselves, quietly and peacefully before anyone else joined them after the ceremony (and privately toasting each other and sneaking some cake!). We wanted nature as the witness to their commitment...a truly intimate wedding. We took advantage of the natural surroundings, taking care not to harm it...to hang the cake, as a backdrop to the ceremony site and setting for the table. The amazing florals by Kelly of Petals by the Shore added beautiful color at a time when Mother Nature was preparing for her winter sleep. ByAngeline's rings are made from conflict free diamonds, both raw and slightly faceted, and recycled gold. The Pussy Willow bracelet (actually a choker) and earrings are modeled after real-life botanicals. Both these companies were perfect for a Woodland Wedding. Thuis Studios created and installed the cake station (and of course made the film). Tracy's naked cake turned into a barely dressed cake (it was chilly outside). She assembled it on site, adding the edible gold flakes. The florals were the link that tied every site together! Sydney+Sam are a real-life engaged couple who agreed to take on the role of models. It was kind of a dry-run for their own wedding later this year. Honeywood Rentals made the table specifically for this shoot and will now offer it to their couples! Script+Vine did a beautiful job using both fonts and calligraphy for the papergoods. Did you notice the little forest map (one of the ring shots)? I was inspired by a map I saw in a Winnie the Pooh book and Genevieve brought it to life! BHLDN's dress was perfectly romantic, and no tie, open collar, and scarf was just right for the Christopher Schafer Clothier suit. (Chris Schafer also runs a nonprofit called Sharped Dressed Man. They give away hundreds of recycled suits to men in the Baltimore area entering the workforce.) Stephanie and Miranda are the epitome of hair and makeup stylists. Their work is perfection! Historic London Town has it all. The forest, the gardens (and even water). We were so pleased to venture just a short way into the woods for some of our shots and be able to enjoy the gardens as well. We hope their couples venture to that beautiful landscaped area for photographs (most stay closer to the ceremony/reception space)."
