From the bride: "With a cross-country move during our engagement, our wedding was the most epic reunion with our family and friends and not to mention the best day of our lives.
Eric and I made a list of values during our planning which included honoring God, each other, and our guests, blending both of our tastes in our choices, treating our out of town guests to a tasty meal, a pretty atmosphere, convenient transportation, and thoughtful details. These values influenced our decisions and truly made for an intimate and emotional wedding day for Eric and I with 60 of our closest family and friends.
Eric handcrafted our groomsman and father of the bride/groom gifts which are the walnut tie clips and cuff links we now sell through our business Redefined Woodworking Company, because of how well received they were. Our photographer was my sister-in-law who doubled as my matron of honor. Our florist was my employer Denise who nailed our vision perfectly. Our DJ and videographer were friends who were willing to bless us with their skills.
As for our style choices, we were most particular when it came to the venue as that created the backdrop for all of the magic. The beauty of The Inn at the Chesapeake Bay Club and the USNA grounds went perfectly with our timeless palate and helped us save money on décor costs because of the natural beauty of the space itself. We splurged on the venue, food, and alcohol and saved in other areas by being creative, resourceful, and of course, with the help of our friends. The day was truly a blend of Eric and I; the perfect start to the two of us becoming one."
